Let me take a moment to say “thank you” to the many of you throughout Cathedral City and beyond, from every community and walk of life, for your support of my mayoral campaign.
Every campaign that challenges a long-term incumbent is an uphill effort, and unfortunately, those efforts were not crowned with success. In this historic, amazing election year, when Americans all across the country contended mightily over the future of our nation, the top-of-the-ticket races took up resources and attention that, in other times, might have been available to local campaigns. Additionally, a series of serious family issues arose that demanded my attention throughout the campaign.
I congratulate Mayor DeRosa on her re-election. As a member of the City Council, I will continue to work for all of the residents of Cathedral City, and will continue to be an advocate for those who have not heretofore had a voice, and will continue to be a strong voice for fiscal responsibility, openness, and transparency in government.
Again, my thanks to each and every one of you who gave of your time, toil, talent, and treasure to our campaign of change for Cathedral City.
